I just watched Susan Boyle in the youtube at this address http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxPZh4AnWyk. I was curious because everyone talked about Susan Boyle in the last few days. They said that Susan had break a human view about talent and artist. I think they were right.
First I saw the clip, I almost agree to the judges and the audience that Susan Boyle is just a simple lady from a far far small village in the Britain, she had too many self confidence on her self. The jury, Simon Cowell asked about her name, her age. Oh I was surprised too, 47 years old lady. Who would choose her to next stage of the contest anyway. Simon the cynical judge, moke in his face to hear her age. He asked again about her dream. Susan said she wanted to be a professional singer like Alaine Page. Everyone in the show cynical, even one of the audience captured, insult her in her face.
Then She was been asked what song that she would sing that night. The song was I dreamed a dream. So when the sound of the music start to play, everybody still act normally with negative sinical thought, but the first time Susan sang her voice, everyone shocked. Me too…. I can’t believe it. I can not stop crying, seeing the great talent that God gave her, in the body of villager woman. That no one ever thought about. Not a single prettiest skin that she has. But the voice… really-really shocked everyone. She even did not dress up like an artist.
Not in long period, Susan Boyle are more famous than Alain page her self. Congratulation Susan, your dream that you dreamed now come true.
This is what Susan said in usmagazine.com
Susan Boyle doesn’t care what you think about the way she looks.
“Maybe I’ll consider a makeover later on,” she told the London Times on Saturday. “For now I’m happy the way I am — short and plump. I would not go in for Botox or anything like that. I’m content with the way I look. What’s wrong with looking like Susan Boyle? What’s the matter with that?”
It does strike everybody in the show business.
Here are the lyric ;
I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving
Then I was young and unafraid
And dreams were made and used and wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung, no wine untasted
But the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hope apart
And they turn your dream to shame
He slept a summer by my side
He filled my days with endless wonder
He took my childhood in his stride
But he was gone when autumn came
And still I dream he’ll come to me
That we will live the years together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms we cannot weather
I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I’m living
So different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed the dream I dreamed.
