Mr. Marino Marcich, director of the ODF alliance, said that,”This is a victory to ODF and giving a sign of the changing vision of Microsoft when at the beginning of the Office 2007 launching refused to support open document format.” Mr. Marino’s statement had given when Microsoft Office 2007 had launched at the beginning of May 2009.
So to linux users or to open office users this is a great progress. The compatibility between open office and microsoft office will now reduce. The standar format between each application will be easily be converted. We hope this step will increase the use of open office format in the next future.
