Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Repository had been moved

I still use gutsy in my computer here. And early today I confused why the sudo aptitude didn’t work. The message said the sources.gz had moved permanently. Well I figured something wrong with the repo location. So I browsed and find out in id.archive.ubuntu.com I couldn’t find the gutsy. It already replaced with jaunty.

Then I suspected the gutsy in old-releases.ubuntu.com. I checked it out and yes it was there. So change all the sources.list to old-releases.ubuntu.com

Like these

# deb cdrom:[Ubuntu 7.10 _Gutsy Gibbon_ – Release i386 (20071016)]/ gutsy main restricted
# See http://help.ubuntu.com/community/UpgradeNotes for how to upgrade to
# newer versions of the distribution.
